Congratulations to our 6th class pupils who celebrated their Confirmation on the 21st of May in St Paul's Church Kilmurray. The children were a credit to both their parents and their teacher. May the Holy Spirit guide them throughout their lives.

Communion

On Saturday 12th of May our 2nd class made their First Holy Communion in St Paul's Church, Kilmurray. Fr Shine gave a lovely ceremony. Well done to all the boys and girls. Thanks to the parents who organised a party afterwards.

Bake Sale & Coffee Morning

We held a Bake Sale and Coffee Morning in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Ms Hannon's 5th and 6th class did a wonderful job organising and hosting the morning. Well done to all the families who baked and brought in cakes and other nice treats. We were delighted to have so many friendly faces visit us on the morning. We raised a grand total of €510 and we made a presentation to Evelyn.

Táin March Workshop

Chris Thompson visited our school and she did a workshop about the Táin March with us. Queen Maeve, Cú Chulainn and other interesting characters made an appearance. We were inspired to write ancient Irish rosc poems. We thoroughly enjoyed this fascinating and lively story.

We had a visit from the wonderful poet Gerry Boland. He inspired our imaginations to create our very own poetry. He even gave us a present of his fantastic poetry book  ' The Secret lives of Mothers'. Some day one of us might become a poet like Gerry!

Seachtain na Gaeilge

An fhéile Ghaeilge is mó in Éirinn agus ar fud an domháin! Bhí an spoirt againn í rith Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhímid ag damhsa agus ag deanamh rince gaelach. Rinnemid iarracht mor Gaeilge a labhairt. Bhí cluichí gaeilge againn agus trath na gceist. Is brea linn Seactain na Gaeilge!
