Castleplunkett National School

​​Castleplunkett N.S is a Catholic, co-educational school in rural Co. Roscommon under the patronage of the Bishop of Elphin . We are located in the village of Castleplunkett which is 11km east of Castlerea town and 7km west of Tulsk.  We have two mainstream classrooms and one SET teacher based at our school. 

Our school nurtures each child’s emotional, social and academic development. Thanks to our rural setting a strong sense of community exists among the school management, parents and staff. A happy, welcoming, inclusive atmosphere is the hallmark of Castleplunkett N.S. 

This school received a grant in 2021 to implement initiatives aimed at addressing the digital divide and support our learners at risk of educational disadvantage as a consequence, as part of the Irish National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) a project under the Recovery and Resilience Facility funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
